Our History
Palm Rose Commodity Limited was established in 1992 by the visionary Mr. Rudolph May, and has blossomed into a premier import, export, and distribution enterprise. With its trading operations commencing officially in 1993, the company initially focused on dairy products, eventually becoming the exclusive distributor of milk powder in Jamaica.

A commitment to excellence drove Palm Rose to expand its product range in 1994 to include refined sugar, igniting a journey of continuous development. Over the years, the company diversified further, incorporating poultry products, Guyana rice, and various meat types. By 1998, the thriving enterprise established its permanent headquarters at 21 First Street, Newport West, setting the stage for sustained growth.

Today, Palm Rose boasts an extensive product portfolio comprising over 100 distinct items. Renowned brands such as Royal Rose, Daawat, Golden Diamond, and May have become synonymous with quality and reliability, earning the trust of consumers nationwide.

In 2014, Palm Rose expanded operations to include a state-of-the-art packaging arm, producing and packaging over 15 items. Undeterred by challenges, the company inaugurated a cutting-edge cooking oil refinery in 2017, breaking longstanding monopolies in the industry. In 2024, an extension to the facility introduced a continuous refinery system, enhancing capacity and enabling Palm Rose to serve the local trade with premium-quality vegetable cooking oil.
